Frequently Asked Questions

Pricing & Memberships
How much does a drop-in visit cost?
Drop-in play is $20 per child for a 2-hour session. We offer discounts for siblings, and you can snag an additional discount by following us on social media. Adults and caregivers are always free.
Want a guaranteed spot? Book a Play Date ahead of time. A limited number of drop-in spots are held each session.
What's included in a membership?
Memberships include dedicated Members Play Date booking and 15–25% off everything in the café, depending on your membership level. Choose from our Value Monthly Membership ($100/month for up to 4 kids, pause or cancel anytime), Annual Membership ($800/year for up to 4 kids), or Founding Families ($1,000/year for up to 6 kids). Taxes and fees apply. Memberships are limited, so visit Let's Play or ask at the front desk to sign up.
Do adults have to pay to enter?
No! Adults, caregivers, grandparents, and anyone accompanying a child enter at no charge. We want every grown-up in your crew to feel comfortable and welcome.
Kids & Play
What ages is the play area designed for?
Our custom 1,400 sq ft playscape is designed with children ages 0–6 in mind. You'll find soft climbing structures, slides, a mock kitchen, fire station, hospital with costumes, and a railroad track — all scaled and safely built for little ones.
What's on the kids' menu?
Little friends can choose from waffles, mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, flatbreads, and healthy sides like fruit, carrot chips, pretzels, and hummus. All kids' meals come on a silicone plate that sticks to the table.
Is the play area supervised?
Parents and caregivers supervise their own children. Counter seating runs along the entire edge of the playscape so you can keep an eye on your kids while enjoying a coffee or catching up on work. We've designed the layout to minimize blind spots.
Food & Drinks
Is there alcohol? Is that safe around kids?
All staff serving alcoholic beverages are MAST-certified. We offer beer on tap, local wines, and mimosas — but adults are limited to two alcoholic drinks during regular open hours. This limit is in place because we're a family space first and foremost. Adults-only evening events don't carry this restriction.
What's on the adult menu?
Our menu features waffles, sandwiches, avocado toast, flatbreads, salads, soups, cheese and fruit plates, and fresh-baked goods from local Tacoma bakeries. To drink: coffee, espresso, tea, smoothies, lemonade, hot chocolate, and alcoholic options. Our coffee is roasted exclusively by Kerriston Coffee. View Menu
Can I bring outside food for my child?
We ask that guests enjoy food purchased at the café to support our small business. If your child has specific dietary needs or allergies, please reach out to us in advance and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Cleanliness & Safety
How do you keep the play equipment clean?
Staff spray down all play equipment every hour using an organic, non-toxic, eco-friendly, sensitive skin-friendly solution. Every evening, the entire space gets a thorough deep clean. Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the café.
Are the bathrooms stocked for babies and toddlers?
Yes! Our bathrooms are stocked with diapers, wipes, and kid-friendly toilet attachments. We also have a private nursing nook with a rocking chair near the restrooms for breastfeeding parents.
Is there stroller parking?
Absolutely. We have designated stroller parking and oversized cubbies large enough for diaper bags and purses, so you can bring everything you need without juggling it all.
Events & Parties
Can I book a birthday party here?
Yes! We'll start booking birthday parties in May. Visit our Let’s Party page for more details.
Do you host other types of events?
We're building an event calendar that includes career days with local librarians, music classes, sleep consultant and lactation consultant workshops, and community classes for parents, and more. Sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop.
